Pallas Athene is one of the inaugural fragrances in the Argos Artist Series I — inspired by Gustav Klimt’s mesmerizing 1898 oil painting of the Greek goddess of wisdom and art. Klimt, founding member and president of the rebellious Wiener Secession, chose Pallas Athene as the movement’s symbol: the powerful virgin goddess of just causes, strength, courage, wisdom, and the arts.

In Klimt’s painting, she stands commanding and luminous — golden Medusa on her aegis, the figure of Nuda Veritas (“naked truth”) in her right hand, Hercules battling Triton in the background. This fragrance captures that same energy: both romantic and commanding, powerfully seductive and deeply feminine.
